Jay Angel began his career in the fishing industry as columist for his local paper in Northern Illinois. Shortly after that, he began writing for regional magazines such as MidWest Outdoors and Fishing and Hunting News. Then he started guiding and he even dabbled in tournaments.

He started his podcast, entitled Lets Talk Fishing, in 2019 after he moved to South Louisiana.
Nowadays, Jay enjoys writing articles, podcasting, photography and fishing for reds and specks in the waters of Louisiana.
